The Mongoose

There was a mongoose by a lake,
Who vowed, ‘No more cookies and cake.’
And he later confessed,
(If you haven’t all guessed):
‘…because it’s the year of the snake…’

Mongoose Vis-A-Vis Mongeese

If one mongoose is called a mongoose

   Then can't we conclusively deduce

That two could be called mongeese

'Twould make a great discourse piece

            Unless ye be dreadfully obtuse

Wildlife 16
A well groomed and furry mongoose,
Was often thought rather obtuse,
He was quick on his legs,
And was partial to eggs,
Which was why all his motions were loose!

The Slick Stick Snack

A mongoose, quite nimble and quick,
Faced a cobra, whose venom was thick.
With a dart and a weave,
He made the snake grieve,
"My lunch," he declared, "is a slick stick!"
