Chard To Swallow
When you stay with granddad, it seems
life isn’t quite always a dream;
some lessons are hard,
like eating Swiss chard
in order to get some ice cream!

Nose Picking
We have a great granddaughter named Kaizley
She would not be caught wearing Paisley
Give her a cute little Princess dress
She'll think she looks her best
But her picking her nose drives me crazy
Limerick...Sort of

Inquisitive
Since day one, Greta has melted my heart.
Inquiring, curious right from the start…
When we played “Let’s go see!”
she would cackle with glee,
but oh can that girl have big come-aparts!

Sweetheart
Last but not least is my granddaughter Greer:
she is a sweetheart, so loving and dear.
To reach full potential
would be providential,
but when she’s around, I feel God is near.

Voracious Reader
A precocious young girl named Genevieve
could read at a pace not to be believed.
Her recall was sublime,

Seeing one page in an ad, she perceived.

Walks Dogs For a Living
My granddaughter walks dogs for a living
So you'd think she'd be in control, that's a given
Was walking five at one time
A fight broke out, got intertwined
Was bitten causing blood putting her out of commission
