After six months of living with you
I found it amazing how we grew
As the passion seemed to fade
The worst signs of this charade
Were the clothes I couldn’t fit into
Lovemaking’s a form of exercise
And then when it stopped, what a surprise
I asked you if I looked fat
You said, “There’s no truth in that”
As you consumed even more French fries
But the doctor’s scale would tell no lies
Some 25 pounds my weight did rise
Still you refused to believe
Just continued to deceive
Till friends noted YOUR increasing size

business, humorous,
I always wanted two slices of ice cube pie
“You only get one”, was the standard reply.
I don’t know why I did
But since I was a kid
It was my favorite treat on the Fourth of July.
The pastry is known by all our relations
Since the recipe’s passed down for generations.
Every bite you’ll savoir
Exceptional flavor
But remember, don’t settle for imitations
Long ago, my great Aunt tried experiments
By leaving out one of the ingredients.
Once Uncle took a bite
He stared out in fright
And barely survived that bad experience.
My oldest son, Johnny became quite wise
He grew up like the others, before our eyes.
His passion for confection
Was a gainful connection
When he opened the first ice cube pie franchise.
Soon after that, we made our first million
And played in the sun with friendly Brazilians.
But to our surprise
We saw ice cube pies
On bamboo platters next to our pavilion
Right away we knew this was an infraction
Without delay our family took action.
We found a private eye
Who loved our ice pie
But his research left him broken in traction.
It was apparent to us that that kind of job
Was endorsed by the brutal ice cube pie mob.
But we didn’t frown
Or give up and back down
We were going to prevail; oh, yes siree, Bob!
With a meeting of minds we gathered resources
And then undersigned the following courses.
To make sure our ices
Sold at cut-rate prices
To knock competition off its high horses.
So back at the shop we assembled platoons
To build enough pies to reach to the moons.
And made plenty dough
That allowed us to mow
Down the cube racket’s, knuckle dragging goons.
We now manage an ice cube pie monopoly
Sales started smooth, but then turned choppily.
So we eased the frustration
With another vacation
But guess what we saw in downtown Mexicali?!

boyfriend,
Dark chocolate eyes that smile with glee
Laugh lines that only enhance his goatee
Blessed with pearly whites
That gives good love bites
I'm drawn to his mustache like a queen bee
Dark brown hair off sets creamy white skin
Tall and slim, his physique makes me grin
A sculpted nose so fine
Sensual lips so divine
It's a good thing that handsome is not a sin
Long arms embrace me and hold me tight
Perfect ears that are aligned just right
Sexy arched eyebrows
That get me aroused
Blush on his cheeks after an ardent night
Looks and passion a small part of his traits
Smart and kind, he's been blessed by the fates
Witty, fun and sweet
He is without conceit
The love we have, makes us great soul mates

Love limned laughter, (lines out) sweet promised sign,
satin billows of cloud surround divine,
backdrop sky a blue silk screen
young as fun forever keen
pre-empting fate this faultless time.
Pouring waves and passion combine
light moods, effervescent, (platinum fine)
flows a presence vivid & wild,
flaming love & (destiny's child,)

My passion for fishing is well known
But sometimes my catch brings a huge groan
Octopus clung to my boat
Dolphins around me did gloat
The queen of the sea had been dethroned
Sadly, a true story for Royal’s Favorite Sport challenge.
It took my 10 minutes to try and pry the octopus from
the back of the boat Each time I pulled up one arm,
it slapped down another one They have suction cups on
their arms My article “Octopus on Board” was
published in Florida Wildlife magazine.

love,
Putting someone's needs before your own
Sharing your thoughts, never feeling alone
A tenderness so sweet
That sweeps you off your feet
A joined journey into the unknown.
It's unbridled passion that does consume
When their scent becomes your perfume
Smiles lit from within
Life finally can begin
Two peas in a pod that grow full bloom
Being your real self with no pretense
Filled with ardor, the joy so immense
It's butterflies galore
Can't wait for what's in store
Heart open wide, no longer on defence.

lovesea, me, sea,
A Seagull Named Steve
This seagull flew by and sat a bit
Ordered tequila from a wine glass sipped.
Dressed in bright yellow
Such a delight social fellow,
Conversation made easy
In beach sands breezy.
A Jonathon Living indeed
Spreading his light giving sea diving seeds.
At first to me, a dive he did make
Up to the sun in restoration with me he did take.
In buttons of coco bean seed
I find my self hand in hand with he I need.
Washed away my blues
Into happiness hues
Of bright orange and yellow.
Across the ocean in search of loves notion
Conjured a passion sea foam potion
Potentate hurricane insane commotion.
But swirl in heavens bright blue skies
In the night full moon we did fly.
For a need for both fulfillment deep
Never to be forgotten not even in sleep.
As quickly he came this seagull named Steve
From no love forever to maybe make me believe.
But try I did truly beg him not to leave
My Jonathan Living seagull named Steve.
Yet he is gone to other seagull endeavors
Living his life among castles of pleasures.
Me
He did not leave
For in my heart
He created I think
A new start.

But not in the shape of a bed spring

All the trappings of the rough-neck cult
Baby-faced blond Aryans exult
Under star-striped umbrella

Some Dad yells « OUT », muscle-men catapult
Can SUN also set in the Wild West
Where the cash – the Man says – will come to rest
How many will share wealth
How many get free health
Deplete coffers for great job conquest ?
The tragic loss of a rising star
O ! Mark « Blond » face ! He’ll shine yet afar !
Blocked not by Destiny
But by peer fear envy :
Winsome mien sage’s ears passion galore !

Dreamy eyes command my stare
Fingers tangled in my hair
Magical allure
Chemistry galore
Quivering happening everywhere
Lips lock as passion lights from within
Yearning to feel skin on skin
Clothing disappears
Nothing interferes
Causing an all consuming tail spin
Arms and legs sweetly entangled
New positions delightfully angled
Fervent desire
Appetites afire
All senses blissfully jangled
Totally surrendering to blazing bliss
Flames ignited by a sweltering kiss
Relinquished control
Amazingly whole
Drowning willingly into sweet abyss
Wondrous moments triggers trance
After effects makes cells dance
Intense connection
Passionate perfection
Finding match does pleasure enhance

Measuring the time while you sing
Transform love to more
Drunken by your roar
This day is like a bee's sting.
Such a passion driven day
Is it all just too cliche
Stop thinking so much
Let me feel your soft touch
Oh please do not betray.
