Batter Up

  I post on the Soup for all to see
  And am no angel nor claim to be.
    I am kind and all that
      But carry a big bat...
So beware how you remember me!

Bizarre

Have you ever heard tales of the weirdest things Autumn leaves that fall in the midst of Spring creepy two-headed toads cats who sit on a commode Devilish people pretending to have angel wings Dogs that bark but sound more like mewing cats In bright sunlight flying, a flock of Vampire bats How many can you name It's just a guessing game Some things in life are so bizarre and that's that written by Lin Lane I wrote about saying goodbye Some rejoiced, yet others did cry It got poem of the day Did it deserve it – no way! I’ll be quiet when I say bye bye written by Jan Allison A rat getting burned for a slice of cheese one legged dancer doing a striptease the absurd, the aloof snakes crawling on a roof penthouse living with someone else's keys written by Tim Smith I'm not allowed to pet the cat when I do he has a spat leaving a mess Without distress He puts it all on the mat written by Russell Sivey

the Joy Of Friendship

THE JOY OF FRIENDSHIP

A sweet young lady on Soup
Will not let your spirit droop
She's thoughtful and nice
And gives great advice
So I keep her in the loop

She monitors what I write
To make sure I get it right
Angel in disguise
One who is so wise
With a beauty oh so bright

We never have met before
I cherish her all the more
And maybe one day
I hope I can say
This angel came through my door

 If that never comes to pass
Our friendship will always last
Though she must remain
An unannounced name
Her friendship is unsurpassed

An Angel

Last night as I lay in my bed
An angel appeared and said
Your life will soon end
I am sent as a friend
To a new kingdom soon you will be led

Say goodbye to all those you hold dear
Tell all they must not shed a tear
For your passing will be
Liberating and free
With my lead you will not have fear

In life you have suffered too much
Soon you will walk without need of a crutch
In the kingdom to come
You won’t limp you will run
With the help of the lords gentle touch

So I wait for the day to draw nigh
Though I know lots of people will cry
With happiness in my heart
I will gladly depart
Heavens waiting there for me to try

The angel at last has drawn near
He offers a new life so clear
With a silent prayer
I climb the golden stair
Halleluiah the angels all cheer

Confessions of a Teenage Boy

This year I asked Santa for a Harley
and a flagon of wine made of barley.
  Then I asked God alone
  for an angel of my own...
no, not one of His, one of Charlie's!

CHLOE

 In the water is the mirrored image I see.
 The true beauty is a reflection of me.
 Thoughts that run through my mind are my beliefs that I cannot find
 Like the flowers that float in the water are my memories of Chloe my daughterShe's now an angel taken from me.
 My sweet precious baby Chloe.

Sister

My sister will push and shove,
She was no angel sent from above,
A pinch here and a kick there,
Then a pull on my short black hair,
Yet somehow I still manage to love.

Angel singing

Is it an angel that I hear singing?
Or is it tinnitus in my ears ringing?
The voice is so high
Its making me cry
It’s my underwear, it's tight and wringing

My First Limerick

My First Limerick

An angel fell from above
With her had fallen in love
After her I had met
And sun soon would set
Over cliff me she did shove.

How is that for my first one?

My dream girl

Held by an angel like a tender tool
rubs gently on my skin like a soft wool
she’s just her own type
her smile now my skype
as I blindly enjoy being a big fool.

GREED

    GREED

         While cutting woods beside river strand,
         axe of an wood cutter slipped from hand
                  and fell into stream.
                  Then, he had to scream
          on such a big loss, too tough to stand.

           Angel appeared out of the river
           Being kind, asked, what was the matter.
                     He was lamenting
                     ‘My axe is missing.’
          Angel assured to search in water.

             Angel again came with axe of silver.
             ‘Is it yours? I have found from river.’
                      ‘No SirThis is fine,
                       but cannot be mine.
            Oh! Ill luckI lost that forever.’

            Next, Angel appeared with axe of gold.
                 ‘Is it yours?’ He casually told.
                        ‘NoThis is not mine.
                           I can’t imagine,
              axe of gold to be built and sold.’

             At last by Angel real axe was brought.
             Delighted wood cutter thanked a lot.
                          Gold axe came as prize,
                          Great and grand surprise
             The lesson of honesty was taught.

                    One cunning wood man heard the story,
                     dropped axe into water in hurry,
                               started loud laments.
                                Within few moments,
                     Angel appeared, ‘Why are you sorry?’

                    ‘Sir, in deep water my axe is lost.’
                     ‘Silver and gold axes, I have got’.
                             Angel showed the pair.
                             ‘Which is yours? My Dear.’
                    ‘Gold axe is mine.’ His answer was prompt.

                    ‘Liar! Simple honesty you do lack!
                      Greed has painted your mind and heart black.
                             Gold, you cannot own.
                             You have lost your own.
                   You do not deserve to get that back.’

Well Below Low

Not only did she seem really low,
Compared to that was well below;
To her an angel was sent;
Heaven is where she went,
Where so far away did quickly go.

Select Which Effect Is Correct and More

Should Select Which Effect Is Correct

What you should do is detect and select,
Which one you want and can be correct,
That does adapt,
Without mishap;
Willl energize an effectice efficient effect.

Heading for the magic number 666.

Jack, C'mon nowNonsenseI am going to be 77 on June 26th
You are my soul and inspiration;
That could not bare the separation;

Are conceiver of my concentration

The best way to beckon with a Canadian
is to bestow upon him Canadian Bacon.

There always is a time when life expires;
So many things about you, God admires;
Have the ability,
Enjoy tranquility;
Be angel in heaven He desires and hires.

Have To Give A Hoot

This I surely am likely not to refute;
You always will have to give a hoot;
And to accept,
Even if inept;
Wife said I should buy another suit.

By Trump Betrayed

By President Trump, we became betrayed;
First moron from Hell that they had made;
True lunatic;
Off does tick;
Never finished or received a passing grade.

Agreed Need Speed

About our shop it is well agreed;
Realize what we really will need,
And do know,
Straight into go;
Brave each wave with much speed.

Jim Horn

Watching movie about ship having
to overcome big waves.

God from clouds produced a leak;
Turned into thunder from  squeak;
A big  feast,
In mid East,
And source of trauma was a sheik

Were way ahead and completion beating;
Trump won and many problems is meeting
He always was knowing,
Golden showers flowing;
The devil in hell wants him to be greeting.

All options and goals Trump had eluded;
From parties excluded and not included;
A big bore,
Did ignore;
By him all of us had been badly deluded.

Businesses by Trump were being shorted;
Facts and figures were all  badly distorted;
Have him fired;
Deported desired;
Into insane asylum, we had him escorted.

Trump we knew never believed in Triage;
So God did have to apply Holy message;

Of bad sin Trump was hit by big barrage.

Hope all of this will start off your day while
laughing and smiling.

Jim Horn

Glad you by my poems are amused,
And not banged up or ever bruised;
I am betting,
Terrible getting;
From writing poems I am excused.

Jim Horn

When you finally will be a repenter.
God into your life surely will enter,
Help did need;
He would feed;
Our attention definitely be center.

Preparing More Poems About God

Preparing Poems About God

While wandering around was a warmonger;
More he should believe in God and longer,
And each attribute,
To God contribute;
So God will make him wiser and stronger.

When me and my boat had been set free,
Would be from all of my sins  and iniquity;
Smooth sailing,
With no gailing;
Fish were safely swimming all around me.

Found fish who were filled  with joy and peace;
As large size of school had started to increase;
Would  spawn,
And then gone;
My boat was sailing smoothly in a cool breeze

What God has done for me am truly satisfied;
On Him would depend on  and always relied;
Invested in;
Did  again;
God caused and created each changing tide.

By the time that I have finally reached my end,
And an angel for me God soon started to send;
Early or late,
He would wait;
Am so thankful he always has been my friend.

Much time together with God was always spent;
Thankfully for me His glorious Son He had sent;
Greatest goal;
Save my soul;
That for me am sure would have been His intent.

Each day God will wonder directly into my door,
And said that I should ask Him for much more,
Of  His love,
From above;
All my sins had sailed out to sea from the shore.

Some things have often  become hard to bare;
God will always be there with His love and care;
He has my oar;
Rowing it is for;
Seat in His boat for me He did spare and share.

When by God you still will want Him to bless,
Must consider all of your sins you do confess;
Put self  last;
Sins by past;
When asked if you believe be sure to say YES.

Many of your tasks may be simple and menial,
And God is truly friendly and always congenial;
Believe in Savior;
On best behavior;
God's cure is efficient while becoming remedial.

When I finally will find my whole soul set free,
God sent me my poems I have started to see;
Life  lived on,
Until all gone;
God in heaven saved a special place for me.

Ended up game;

Now am an angel flying in the skies.

BUSYTOWN

BUSYTOWN

Here lies an angel — a beautiful boy.
Moments before, filled with angst, throwing toys.

                      Sweet head on pillow.
                      Honey breath billows.

The busytown between storm and calm — joy.

Either Comply Or Die

Either Comply Or Die

End result could be if we fail to comply,
Were shot many times and then did die;
When  I died,
Mother cried;
Am an angel who will fly high in the sky.
