We invent a lot of crazy concepts and things dont we? What concerns me is when we invent a god-like view of ourselves and convince others of our power. I say let the world believe in God - but not believe too hard in themselves as to turn into their own warped version of God. Always, Laura

I could not say it better. If I wanted to validate what you said with humor, I could say, "Amen to that!" You are completely on target. There has been some writing on the rise of monotheism. The belief in one god may have led individuals and cultures down a difficult path. The forces of nature, which is what I think defines god if we must, are diverse and have allowed for beautiful diversity. There's a lot to think about on this subject.

The folks from thousands of years ago were sending us a message in this time capsule. So, angels galore, let them come and visit us. I love it!!

That is a good thing. It certainly helps for writing great poetry. Most people share the view of god and company. I don't mind that you do. I think we are an evolutionary accident. But I love the stories because I think they are allegories for the generational wisdom. I think the various bibles and the stories they contain are meant to be psychology texts for those of us who are alive and might consider the wisdom and foolishness of our predecessors.

Although I do believe in God, I found this to be one of your most humorous limericks, Duke. this silly facade. ahhaha. He might be better off to take the form of an alien! Luv, Andrea

You are an angelic presence in this electronic world. You and all the work you do here makes me think that you are one of the angels.

Yes isn't this all so strange. I don't know what god is, so when the subject comes up-I substitute "forces of nature." I think we are part of something much bigger than we realize, and our notion of "god" is somewhat limited. It can't just be human form....I find that is an arrogant notion that I can't accept.
