Wait Till Next Year

Wait till next year is a common baseball cry Disappointment abounds, as the fans say goodbye Not every year's a winner This one was even grimmer Maybe next year we won't need another alibi

Ah, yes, my team...the Cincinnati Reds are that team that didn't do very well this year! That's who I root for, and I'm not a fair weather friend of the team, as you can tell, they are in last place and maybe they'll get a great draft choice this year so they can do even better next year...we can hope anyway! So who's your team? The Toronto Blue Jays? They're not bad! I enjoyed your write about baseball my friend, It is something I enjoy! What a spectacular poem, Great Work Jackson!!

Yep! It's the Jays! Every time they show promise of turning it around, they falter! "Wait till next year!" So the Reds are in the same boat... remember Pete Rose???
