A really odd thing caught my eye They hang on a branch way up high Black bags in the trees What strange ‘fruit’ are these I wouldn’t want poop in my pie! Why do some dog owners tie their dog poop bags on branches rather than put them in a bin? 31st January 2017

yes I agree it is and they are now going to take issue with dog owners and doing dna profiling on the poop to try and find the irresponsible owners:-( hugs jan xx

I've asked folks why they leave full bags lying by the trail. They always reply, "I'll pick it up on my way back." Right. Never happens. But in the trees??? A new low for humanity:-( Huggas ~ j

They prefer poop up on high, its safer there in the sky, but don't look up, you may get it in your eye!

- It's better with poop in the grass ... than poop in plastic bags that never disappears :) - Take the poop bag home with you ... throw it in the trash - ... or, hang it in your own garden ... hope it smells good :) - Great written, Jan :) - hugs // Anne-Lise:)

I think it is a national pastime, Jan. Like leaving chewing gum on the pavement. It's not just disgusting, it's pure lazyness. // Barry.

Wow, I had no idea this was a practice in some places, not the kind of low hanging fruit I'd be interested in, that's for sure. I'm not even sure how a dog could reach that high to tie it up there in the first place. :)This was funny and (informative) Jan

They must have very clever dogs to scoop and put the bag in a tree - sheer laziness there are plenty of bins to put it in:-( hugs Jan xx

Oh, my! I'm glad I haven't encountered hanging bags of dog poop here. Your poem gave me a great laugh, Jan, but I hope people stop hanging these bags! What if a thin branch broke and the poop on you? Seven always, dear.

There is no need for it at all Carolyn it's sheer laziness - if they can put it in a bag surely they can carry it until they pass a bin:-( hugs Jan xx

Lol! As a dog owner and tree hugger I am forever dismayed by this low hanging fruit; who in my world does this? Great write. Cheers! mo
