I once knew an old bloke called Peter Whose body could smell so much sweeter He stank of stale wee B O and coffee T’was worse when he sat by the heater! His daughter whose name is Anita Tried hard to help Peter smell sweeter He bathes twice a day She gave him some spray From Peter there is no foul fetor! 04~09~17

How I love limericks, Jan, and this one is very witty. I hope Anita stays with Peter to make sure he continues to smell sweeter. Wonderful!

Good for ANITA!! That is a word I'd never rhyme with sweeter, but I take it this is how British pronounce it? Same as sweeter? I sure do love your limericks!!

This is exceptionally clever :-) The words are not easy to rhyme and you didn't miss a beat. I only know this as I am still learning and notice degree of difficulty and seamless flow with very witty content. You just make it 'look' easy Jan.:) Very nicely done.xxx
