No Money Found For Anne-Marie Coreggia

"No Money Found" I woke to feeling ill so I called out sick The frig was bare with nothing but a fish stick Looking to my purse for cash I knew I had no stash To the bank I go with nothing but lipstick Once at the bank I heard this loud rushing sound The bank being robbed we were told "hit the ground" With my life placed in my bag this turned to be a snag The doors closed and I still had no money found SkyWatcher - 05-13-17 This is a true story. Several years back I woke up feeling ill so I called out sick. I truly had nothing in the refrigerator or in the cabinets. So I went to get my purse thinking I would go to the nearest convenience store to get some juice and crackers. You guessed it. My purse was bare. I didn't even have one dollar on me. So the next thought was to go to the bank and withdraw twenty dollars. Well that point was mute. I was literally in the bank less than one moment making out a withdrawal slip when I heard and felt this loud rushing noise. It was three robbers entering. They told us "this is a robbery everyone on the floor" two robbers stayed in the lobby while the third jumped the counter to get money. There were some words exchanged but no one was harmed. They did however have guns. When the robbers left the bank doors were immediately closed and locked and we patrons were held in the bank for an hour being questioned by the feds and bank representatives. If that wasn't bad enough we were told we all had to go to the police station and fill out a report. We were now detained for another two hours. It was draining and exhausting. Also believe it or not when all was done I still had no money on me and still felt sick. I guess that taught me... (lol) Further to add to this story. Several years later I was in the same bank doing my banking and I heard a teller and a patron talking of this story of the bank robbery and that the robbers were finally caught. I chimed in to say did I hear you correctly. They said yes. The teller said do you know of the robbery or the robbers. "Know the story" I said I was there when it happened. The teller was surprised and wanted to know more. Funny... Well you guessed it again, that was the last time I called out sick. (lol) This is all true including the robbers finally getting caught. Thank you. Note to Anne-Marie Coreggia. Thank you Anne-Marie for pushing me and challenging me to attempt another Limerick. I hope this was ok and acceptable. I'll keep trying.

Welcome to my world, Lisa. Just another day in the life of the hood. But I'm so glad you're safe, it's all good. Lol! Cool limerick. I never wrote a limerick myself, I told my poetess friend Alexis, that she inspired me to try it, much like Anne-Marie urged you. Well, here's wishing me happy free falling. Push me gently off the plane. Loved this limerick though. Love always.

Oh boy. I'm sorry for that Freddie. Thank you very much. Yes, we were all luck no one was harmed. This is a true story from me calling out sick to the bank robbery and right to the end of when the robbers were finally caught years later doing the same thing once again. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. I will see you soon on your page. Stay well.

Woah, that sounds a scary experience. At least you were unharmed... and you've written this great pair of limericks, so something good came out of the experience!! Regards, John.

Top of The Afternoon Darren. Thank you very much. Yes, thank goodness no physical harm to anyone but I to this day do not like being in the bank. It is something I will never forget. The sound the rushing the feeling. It was like a movie. Honestly. The funny part was I had no food no money and at the end of it all I still had no money... (lol) Yes, what a day. Thank you again. May this afternoon be filled with peace and greatness.

I am so glad nobody got hurt. What an ordeal, but you turned a horrible experience into a delightful limerick and thank you my friend for this wonderful dedication. You have many arrows in your quiver, some go straight for the heart but others like this one reach our funny bone:)

I am going through a somewhat similar challenge my friend since my brother is now urging me to set humorous lyrics to lighthearted musical pieces. Not quite quite my comfort zone.

Hello Miss Anne-Marie. Thank you Thank you not only for this review and commentary to which you know I do not take lightly but for challenging me and encouraging me to continue another Limerick thus I did. I hope this was acceptable. And now I will continue back to Free Verse. The ordeal was something out of a movie but thank goodness no one was harmed but we had no idea of what they would do. Happy Mother's Day. I will see you on your page.

Hello Niall. Thank you so much. Yes, thank goodness no one was harmed. And yes also, health is wealth. You have no idea of the worth of that and its truth. Have a wonderful day. I look forward to returning to your page.

Oh Lisa, here I can completely sympathise, your wonderful entry described things in such detail that I was immediately taken to a scene that happened to me several years ago, only this was a post office, three men rush in , make us all kneel, then vault the counter and proceed to carry out the robbery accompanied by foul language. A well crafted poem, filled with suspense and drama. Maria7

Good Morning Smiling Maria. Really, wow. Thank you for sharing your story with me. I'm sorry for your experience as well. Yes, they made us go to the floor stay still and not talk. One person did move and talk but nothing went wrong thank goodness. To this day I don't like to go to the bank. Thank you again Maria. I'm glad you lived through to tell your story also. Have a wonderful morning. Happy Mother's Day to you.

Well done Lisa I can guess it was cathartic to write about your experience. I doubt I could have written limericks about such a frightening incident:-) hugs Jan xx

Good Morning Jan. Coming from you and all your Limerick talent I am honored. Honestly. Thank you so much. Yes the experience was frightening because no one knew what would happen while they were there. I still don't like going to the bank to this day. It was like being in a movie. The funny part (the limerick part) was being sick no food no money and no banking with still no money at the end of it. It was a day. I was striking out with everything. Thank you again. Happy Mother's Day.

Good Morning Anne. Thank you very much. No I won't the story or the feeling when they rushed in. Happy weekend to you also. Happy Mother's Day to you.

Love the limerick :D I had a reality check with your story. I work at a bank. Robbery is something we train for repeatedly. I am just glad that no one was hurt but it is sad that you had the whole ordeal afterwards - just because of place and time :(

Good Evening Sara. So nice to see you. It is an experience I will never forget. I will always remember the rushing and the sound. It is ingrained in me. The whole ordeal was like being in a movie. It was strange. Even the bank representatives were taken back as well. The only funny part is I still ended up with no money after that and yes the robbers were finally caught years later robbing again. Thank you for sharing your story and your job. Yes, I would imagine it would always be on your mind. How could it not. Thank you again Sara. Have a wonderful night. Stay well.
