Liar

My poetry really does suck. I look for true rhymes, but get stuck. Though my meter is fine, When you follow each line you’ll see that they all run amok.

Yeah it really sometime suck when you wanted to produce a good poetry and nothing good type of ideas entered your mind and you just try hard to come with something,anything however I m new on this site and would really appreciate if you could find time to read my poems and give your honest reviews about them

amuck? ;) that sucks you know. Calling your poem "Liar" is asking for a compliment. Here it is. The meter is impeccable, the limerick is funny. There!

yep. The fun thing is is that "amok" is an Indonesian word. And in The Netherlands that language is for a large number of words incorporated into the Dutch. We use the word regularly, but pronounce it differently. amohk. Hence the teasing I did, because for me it doesn't rhyme... only I know in English it is different.

LOL -- I swear I'm not fishing. "amok" is right--it's an adverb meaning "behave uncontrollably and disruptively." You say it like a-muck but it's spelled "a-m-o-k". I first learned it in a Star Trek episode title, "Amok Time" (from the original series Star Trek, when Spock goes into Vulcan rut, aka "pon farr").

Thank you! That's how it got the name "Liar". It was tempting to actually spoil the rhythm or rhyme, but it was more fun to nail it and then give it a contrasting name.
