First Fear of Freedom
He cringes in fear, his legs wobble, his young wings scared stiff;
below the nest yawns a dark, deathly chasm of what if;
plunges into space,
flaps, slows down the pace;
ah, new-found freedom of flight, across, around the home cliff !
