... well that's one way to take care of the problem! Good punchline, Jan. There's a chihuahua in my neighborhood that has free range of the cul-de-sac and barks (for seemingly no reason) at everything! If I had guts I'd probably go to more drastic measures!

Pure fiction for me Timothy - i wrote it in the pub last Wednesday based on the name of the lead singer of the band - have done 3 in total based on their names lol:-) hugs jan xx

My dachshund is not a barker, nor a watchdog as we say here in the States.A few neighborhood dogs bark nonstop, especially in the summer. It's very annoying and frays my nerves. Anyway, enjoyed the limerick and, yes, I love the title. / M

This is a great limerick, and throwing the bone in the park is a bright idea; at least Benji runs off there for a while! In our area there's an Alsatian...it does not bark, but it howls all night, and day too, sometimes. Hugs // paul

I have a beagle and he howls all of the time. I guess everyone around here is used to it now because they all pet him and give him treats. He's very observant, if you know what I mean. Love the limerick, Jan. Good luck
