cont. ;) The individual is always subordinated to the masses. It is this philosophy which allows the Party to manipulate and control humanity. In the Ministry of Truth, protagonist is a civil servant responsible for perpetuating the Party's propaganda, revising historical records, rendering the Party omniscient and correct, yet his meagre existence disillusions him to the point of seeking rebellion against Big Brother, eventually leading to his arrest, torture, and conversion.*Sound familiar?

yup yup! Did you ever read 1984? is a 1949 dystopian novel by George Orwell about the totalitarian regime of the Party. The novel depicts an oligarchical collectivist society where life in the Oceanian province of Airstrip One is a world of perpetual war, pervasive government surveillance, and incessant public mind control.

I think you may just have a winner here James, you managed to inject that satirical humour into your limerick perfectly. Mine may be political but it lacks the humour. Very witty title. I needed a laugh after England's abysmal performance against Germany this afternoon. They had a good day, a German win at the grand prix too. Ah well, there's always next time ~ Sharon :)
