A Myth and Proverb United

A melt down occurred high outside That ended a fabulous ride Let's love licorice But recall Icarus Whose fall was preceded by pride Author's note: Licorice is dark and an allegory for the bad things one needs in life. We know that bad is stimulating, but too much of a good thing can have the opposite effect.

Duke, I am glad to finally see this one too. I know your poem had nothing to do with this, but it somehow reminded me also of the poor girl last week who fell out of a roller coaster to her death. Did you hear of it in the news? She had even asked them to make sure she was secured before taking off on the ride!! I love the Icarus myth and i like this clever union of proverb and myth.

At first I thought it was about the lady who fell off the roller-coaster just two days ago. And died. But other then that I like it ;}
